Is your ATM putting your organization at risk?
With the ATM turning 50 this year it is very hard to believe that access to the ATM still isn't guaranteed. The ADA Guidelines first published in 1990 and updated in 2010 have helped tremendously in increasing access for those with disabilities but there is still work to do.
In order to continue to reduce the number of machines that aren't accessible ABS has developed a comprehensive ATM compliance program that will help banks and operators better understand the guidelines and their network of ATMs to address issues that are currently preventing access for those with disabilities.
We have developed full-service and self-service compliance survey programs to assist in documenting compliance of your ATM network so that at all times ADA status is known for all machines. We assist in evaluating survey results, and in remediating issues at the time of the survey and ongoing throughout the year. Our goal is to ensure our clients are aware of issues in a timely manner and that issues are remediated before impacting the end user.
Although many ATM managers and banking executives have a general awareness of regulations impacting the ATM Channel, many still do not have a formal process for monitoring and remediating issues that place their organization at risk.
